One of the highlights of this year's Con was the 'Spotlight on Grant Morrison' panel. It was an hour and a half of Grant
being Grant and it was fantastic! He entertained any question and even revealed that he's sure he could take Alan Moore in
a fight! Great stuff, and Mark Waid was there asking "Is it true you know Mark Millar?". Grant also revealed that there would
be no Marvel Boy 2. Marvel Comics can really suck ass sometimes!
Brian Ralph is one of my favorite artists, and the man responsible for the classic 'Cave-In'. If you haven't seen his
work, you must do so immediately! You can buy his books through his publisher at http://www.highwaterbooks.com/ ... you won't regret it! I also bought an original page of art from 'Cave-In' at the Con, so I'm a happy boy!!
Artist extrordinaire Chris Weston. I had been dying to own one of his 'Invisibles' pages for years, and I finally got
not one but two at this year's Con. His amazing artwork can currently be seen in Grant Morrison's 'The Filth', or go track
down his issues on 'The Authority', 'War Story', 'Enemy Ace' and of course 'The Invisibles'. You too can buy some of his art
by going to http://www.chrisweston.co.uk/
Joe Matt, looking exactly as he does in his autobiographical comic 'Peep Show'. He was the nicest guy to talk to and
asked me all kinds of questions about my personal life. I gave him a blank sketchbook, and being the cheap bastard he
is (a quality I highly admire by the way) he really appreciated it! Now, if only he'd put out an issue of his comic more than
once every year and a half...
Prototype of one of the new G.I. Joe figures!
Jill Thompson sitting at the DC booth. She seemed a little out of it this year, but was still nice as ever. She had a
brace on her arm, so I didn't ask her for a sketch.
John Paul Leon is a true artist's artist. His style is reminiscent of Alex Toth with lots of bold black lines. He pencilled
two amazing issues of Grant Morrison's 'New X-Men'. I like his work so much I bought a page!
Let's just pretend this never happened.

Patrick Neighly and Kereth Cowe-Spigai, authors of the excellent book 'Anarchy for the Masses', an examination / interpretation
of Grant Morrison's 'The Invisibles'. The book is a must-read for fans of the series, but more importantly, Patrick and Kereth
are super cool... I spent quite a bit of time chatting with them and they are into a lot of the same books that I am. Patrick
also has a comic of his own out called 'Subatomic' that is a fun read. Learn more about their company at http://www.madyakpress.com/
Miriya and me with Batton Lash. He was very happy to see that I was the first person to wear the new Mavis shirt! He
and lovely wife Jackie took several pictures of Miriya for themselves, and Batton drew her a nice picture in her sketchbook.
They're the best!
What can be said about Bruce Timm that you don't already know? He's responsible for the look and direction of 'Batman:
The Animated Series' and every DC Animated series after. Check out the excellent Sandman he did for me in the sketchbook
section... his first time drawing the character. He almost wouldn't do it, claiming he didn't remember what Morpheus looked
like, but he quickly realized that he was sitting at the DC Comics booth and noticed a huge picture of the Sandman right across
the way at the Vertigo section of the booth.
Kaare Andrews is totally cool... he not only did a nice sketch for Miriya, but he also did one for me that took him about
20 minutes. The guy wouldn't even let me pay him! He also happens to think that Max and Miriya are the coolest characters
from Robotech, in fact he did a pin-up of them in 'Robotech' #0. His work includes some amazing covers for 'Incredible Hulk'
and the interior art on several issues of 'Ultimate X-Men' and the fun 'Thundercats / Battle of the Planets' one-shot,
which he also wrote! Check him out at http://www.kaareandrews.com/
My buddy Alex, sporting a kick-ass hairdo.
I met up with a long lost friend Silvia at the Con, so that was an added bonus. Silvia is a talented artist and is going
to be working with me on my comic. Here we are hanging out with Pinhead.
My buddy Rob (center) with his company Low Impact. His lady, Asia, is on the left and the guy on the right is Theron
who does some hilarious mini-comics. Rob is an awesome designer and loves comics as much as me!
